Learn the moves that made Jet Li and Jackie Chan famous! Wushu (often called Kung Fu) is the term for Chinese martial arts. Our contemporary Wushu program teaches Changquan (Northern Long Fist) which is the style used in today's Chinese martial arts movies. Students learn a variety of forms and, in upper levels, train in a variety of weapons including straight sword, broad sword, staff, and others. We have a belt ranking system to measure the progress of students in this program. Belt testing is mandatory and is offered quarterly.
In addition the basic skills needed for martial arts, students learn wushu forms, which are practiced with speed to burn off energy, reduce stress and develop coordination between what the mind tells the body to do and what the body can actually achieve.
